On behalf of the building department of a large city in southern Germany, the concentrations of fine particulate dust (PM10) and nitrogen dioxide (NO2) were determined along a high-traffic road for a period of one year at several metrology locations. The prerequisite for conducting the emission measurements was the certification as a metrology authority pursuant to Section 29b BImSchG (Bundesimmissionsschutzgesetz [Federal Pollution Control Act]), which – in addition to us – is held by only very few companies in Germany.
