As a preventive strategy, the GENDORF site fire department prepares emergency plans and alarm notification and incident response planning documentation, in particular also for plants governed by the Emergency Incident Directive. Highly sensitive alarm systems such as fire and gas warning alarms and malfunction alarms are routed to a 24-hour dispatch center. The GENDORF fire department has highly sophisticated equipment and staff with the best possible incident response training to fight fires and to respond to incidents at the chemical park.
