During a serious cargo truck accident loaded with a container holding pressure liquefied, toxic and combustible, as well as highly-reactive gas, potential damage was prevented by deploying our site fire department and our special expertise for working with chemicals. The vehicle had tipped on its side and had slid headfirst into the road ditch. Due to the particular nature of the product and the resulting risk factors, the customer called on us to recover and neutralize the gas. In spite of a travel distance of 900 km and a deployment period of approximately 2 weeks, the specialists from our GENDORF fire department were the partner of choice due to the available expertise, the trained subject matter experts, and the required special purpose equipment. Further damage was prevented due to our fast and qualified assistance; the product itself could even be used for further processing without quality restrictions.
