ACHEMA: InfraServ Gendorf puts the lid on energy guzzlers

The energy unit of the chemical park operator and solution provider InfraServ Gendorf will present methods at ACHEMA Booth D49 (Hall 9.1) that show how companies can continue to systematically reduce energy consumption.

In order to find the most efficient optimization measures, the engineering experts of InfraServ Gendorf have the complexity of the whole system in mind.

"While the chemical industry has taken meaningful steps toward improving its energy efficiency in the last 10 years“, states Stefan Authier, Head of Optimization at InfraServ Gendorf, "significant savings opportunities continue to exist, particularly in the core processes of many companies. At ACHEMA, we will demonstrate where energy guzzlers are typically hidden. Based on this approach, we can provide pointers for an initial efficiency check in a personal conversation to give insight into where a second look may be worth while."

In particular companies that already use an energy management system are particularly well positioned to take advantage of savings opportunities, since they have transparent energy data for the entire operation. "However, our experience has shown that many companies do not systematically leverage this data trove", Stefan Authier explains. "In part, the reasons for this lie in the fact that searching for the best possible energy savings solution is a complex process. Several functional disciplines need to collaborate to answer critical questions: What actual costs will the solution generate – not only for procurement, but also for on-going operations and maintenance? What will be the associated relationship between investments and savings? How safe is the energy-efficient version?"

InfraServ Gendorf supports companies in the chemical and process industry with energy studies and specific energy savings measures. In this case, the company builds on its experience planning, building, and optimizing plants, which is as much part of InfraServ Gendorf's core business as maintenance, plant safety, and permitting. Among others, the chemical park operator and solution provider from Burgkirchen (Upper Bavaria) has been supporting the Clariant chemical group for eight years on energy efficiency and energy management projects - world-wide at all of the company's sites.

Visit us at ACHEMA from June 15 - 19, 2015: Hall 9.1 Booth D49. Our experts from the engineering, plant safety, permit management, and maintenance will be at your disposal.
